Rule Changes for July 2019

Hey Guys. Sorry for the delay, this month has been crazy. Steam sale has results in an influx of players and the team has been busy managing all the fun that comes with a wave of new players.

For this month, the rule update includes some of the things we talked about in the recent War Meeting. This is a step in the right direction, let us know your feedback as everyone gets to experience these new rules so we can continue to refine the rules.

Changes

From war rules:

For war, KOS begins once the war has been declared. The claims of the clans at war become KOS. Anyone who is not the direct clans or allies that are participating in the war needs to leave these zones. Non involved parties may not assist either team.

For months, we noticed players keep entering the war zone to watch the war. We don’t think this is fair to people involved in war. Now the claims of everyone become KOS. People who aren’t actively in the war need to leave and cannot us this as an excuse to come PVP both parties.

From KOS rules:

Cargo ship. Head into #server-suggestions and help decide the future of cargo PVP zone.

Additions

General rules:

For people living in Cities/Frontiers/RP Claims, they can only build heli towers in No Man’s Land or Unclaimed land.

Originally this was No Man’s Land only, but we figured including Unclaimed land would be a bit more friendly. This way, people are able to raid those bases so they can’t complain about people living in safer zones are abusing their location.


For evicting players in Frontiers/Cities/Rp Claims:


For land claiming:

If a land claim is pending, it has 24 hours to fix the mistake before another group can claim over that land.

We kept seeing situations where someone would claim land and do the claim wrong, then someone would swoop in and steal it which was very new player unfriendly. Now, we want people to have 24 hours to fix the land claim before someone else can claim it.

From war rules:

War Council now votes on the severity of the war.

One of the reasons people may avoid war on the server is all wars result in a clan being wiped out. To combat this, we want the war council to get to vote on what type of war it is. Skirmish, CS only war, HQ and CS war.

Also from war rules:

War timers have been changed.

Now war council has 12 hours to vote on a war. After that (if approved) clans have 24 hours to arrange a time to fight online. If no time can be met, then the normal war process can begin.

Removed

From war rules:

Before you attack the enemy HQ, you must announce in-game and in discord that the final attack is about to happen.

In an effort to simplify the rules, this has been removed.
