How to claim land as a group:

Step 1: Make a clan using our /clan plugin.
Step 2: Build a base and place your tool cabinet down.
Step 3: While inside of your base, type /claim and follow the prompts to “Claim HQ”. Make sure to place a sign on the outside of your base showing the clan name. You are done!

If you want to claim more land: Once 48 hours are up since your first land claim, type /claim and choose the ‘Claim CS’ option to claim more land. The cost of a CS is 250 HQM.
Note: A clan can have a max of 2 land claims and needs to wait 48 hours between each claim.

MINI CLAIMS: How to claim land as a solo or small clan:

Step 1: Make a clan using our /clan plugin.
Step 2: Build a base and place your tool cabinet down (needs to be in a light blue solo claim spot).
Step 3: While inside of your base, type /claim and choose the ‘Claim Mini’ option.
Make sure to place a sign on the outside of your base showing the clan name You are done!

Types of land claims:

  • Standard Land Claims: available for clans of 2 – 8 players (tagged in-game prior to making a land claim).
  • Mini Land Claim: available for solo players (up to 3 players).
  • City Claim: available for clans of 4 – 8 players (tagged in-game prior to making a land claim). Cities are limited to 1 claim to manage their size and prevent lag. Cities cannot declare war or have allies but can be warred on. City specific rules (click here) ⧉
  • Water Claim: A solo or group can claim a spot in the water, even if there is no spot on the map there yet. Claim the spot and we will make a new spot for you. Note, you can only claim one spot if you choose water claim.

General land claiming rules:

  • Claims are valid as soon as they are made by the player (as long as no mistakes are made).
  • If two people claim the same spot, the first one to have a valid claim gets the claim.
  • Land claims must be connected to each other.
  • For caves, the claim where the entrance is located owns it. Note – Since admins aren’t always in the game when updating the map, do the /claim command from the above-ground spot and not the cave.
  • For the first 48 hours of a wipe, you are not allowed to relocate to a different claim.
  • If you are taking over an abandoned or evicted claim, you need to post in the land claims channel in Discord and show the location on the /map (along with the usual /claim in-game).
  • Using additional steam accounts to get more land is considered an exploit. Land claims are tied to the person and not how many Steam accounts you have.
  • Don’t disband and re-create your clan to bypass marker limits or fix mistakes. Doing this can result in a loss of ALL of your markers.

General City Rules

  • City claim clans cannot join wars in any capacity or be used as a proxy group for a pvp clan.
  • If outside clans attempt to store clan or individual loot in a shop or building if the city claim, the admin team reserves the right to remove these bases without warning.
  • Raiding/KOS/PVP is not allowed in City claim land.
  • Members of the city are allowed to defend the city with force from attempted robbery
  • Do not use a supply signal in the City claims.
  • We reserve the right to alter these rules if we find a group attempting to take advantage of City Claims.
  • The staff monitor city claims and will remove city claim if owners aren’t doing a good job with the city (no walling off trains, no robbing citizens’ homes, etc.).
  • Cities can’t post rules that conflict with server rules.

City Evictions

  • Cities should only raid out of necessity and not for profit. If a city is evicting on a normal basis, that may warrant staff review that could result in losing city status for this wipe and the future.
  • Players should ask for permission before building on city land. Cities can evict those who build on their land without permission but still need a valid reason for it.
  • Cities are considered safe zones so they need a valid reason to evict someone (breaking this will result in punishment).
  • Cities need to store the loot for 48 hours and make a reasonable attempt to locate the player and return the loot.
  • Some examples of valid evictions reasons: a person being toxic, a resident stealing from the city, breaking city rules, or building in a spot that prevents city expansion. As with all evictions, they must be posted in discord prior to raiding.

Creating a City:

  • For City Claims: You must have at least 4 tagged members using the /clan command and fill out the city application located HERE. If you want to become an official city, you need to state your intent to be a city at the time of land claiming.
  • Your HQ must be away from the city itself, it must be a separate building with its own accessible TC so if your clan goes to war or if your clan is war dec’ed that the town is not attacked.
  • To avoid cities becoming too laggy, cities can only prebuild a max of four empty homes.
  • Cities need to build at least 2 grids away from Launch Site or Military tunnels.
  • If a city touches a small rad town, a wall is required with no gate so people do not have easy access to the rad town.
  • Applying for city means you are to uphold all official city guidelines until you are either fully accepted or denied

How to become an official city:

  • Official cities get an icon added to the map and get a portal. Not all cities get this, see criteria below.
  • You also must submit a City application. Click Here to Submit an Application
  • When making your land claim (before being a city), you must state your intention to become a city so other groups know to avoid your location.
  • To make sure the portals are spread out across the map, cities need to have a 5 grid radius from any other city.
  • On the first Monday of the wipe, admins will begin auditing groups that wish to become official cities. You need a minimum of 10 active residents to be eligible to become a city (aka no using alts to boost numbers, etc).
  • Our method of choosing cities is by flying to each one, counting the total of active and sleeping players there, and comparing all cities. Sleepers from the same IP don’t count since we don’t want people cheesing the system with alts. We also don’t announce what time we’re doing our inspections to avoid people having people stay during a certain time to boost numbers.
  • If you get accepted. To set up portal – make sure to place a vending machine next to where you want the portal and have it broadcast “PORTAL TO HUB” so players can find it using the Gmap. Don’t broadcast if you haven’t been accepted.
  • If a city is next to a frontier or other portal, they will not receive a portal.
  • Once the city is up and you have a portal spot ready with over ten residents, reach out to admins so we can add portal if you are selected.
  • Cities get a resource kit for the second wipe of the month to avoid them having to set up the city twice. City Council needs to track how many players are living in a city and at the end ow wipe 1, they need to provide this list to admins so we can give the resource kit. It is up to the city to reach out to staff.
  • To get your city icon added to map, use the command /claimcity after you have already received a portal.
